I was really hopin they would draft Frank Gore that day but oh well. Not saying Benson was a bad move because it really could have been ALOT worse but of Angelo's moves this was never one of my favorites. They may be drafting another running back next year but it looks like there will be plenty available based upon what Ive seen in the college ranks. Ive never really been a big fan of TJ or Benson to be honest. I know that upsets alot of people on this board in particular but thats beside the point. It would have been nuts to have tied up 57 million dollars over the next 4 years in running backs when guys like Gore and Portis were getting paid less than a million a year at one point.

The Bears did fleece the Bills today for Darwin Walker(UT fans say hes a terrific player) and he is in the same mold as Tank Johnson so he should fit in well with Tommie Harris, Mark Anderson, and Adewale Ogunleye.

I know im the minority too but I believe Rex will have a much better year. Of all the things he needs, they have helped him get a better short passing game, added the shotgun, and worked on his fundamentals that include stuff as simple as keeping two hands on the ball, stepping up in the pocket, and taking off running instead of forcing it when things break down. Rex is a terrific qb when teams arent blitzing. Thats going to be the shortcoming that he has to get through to be successful. That goes back to the short passing game and guys like Hester, Wolfe, and Olsen in particular.

I really believe with most qb's, its alot mental, such as not being able to read defenses properly that cause qb's to be busts. I dont see that with Grossman, I see a dude that forces the ball too much(like Favre) even when reading the defenses properly. I think his ACL injury caused him to fear moving around as much as he normally did in the past. Hes not nearly as immobile as he looked last year. If hes not successful this year, I think it will be because he was too stubborn to learn from his mistakes, not because he doesnt have the talent or cant understand what is going on out there.
